Libby Cathey is currently writing a book of essays and exploring her next career opportunity.

Most recently, she served as a Political Reporter at CBS News, regularly appearing on CBS 24/7. Previously, she covered the 2024 presidential primaries and the 2022 midterm elections as a Politics Reporter/Producer at ABC News, traveling the country as a "one-man band" to chase candidates and interview voters. Her work as an "embed" was featured in Power Trip, a documentary series on Hulu produced by George Stephanopoulos.

With over five years of reporting and producing experience in Washington, Libby’s career also includes roles as a Talent and Travel Coordinator at The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Los Angeles and as a Local News Editor at Snapchat in New York.

Libby holds a Master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, where she graduated third in her class. She is also a summa cum laude graduate of New York University, where she interned at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, NBC's TODAY Show, SiriusXM Radio, and KATV News in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Her academic journey includes studying art history in Florence, Italy, and journalism in Accra, Ghana, while at NYU. A proud graduate of Little Rock Central High School, Libby is also an ardent Arkansas Razorbacks fan and a lover of fried foods.
